It’s been a very long time since I have posted on this blog as most of my effort has been going into my travel type blog at www.imagesofapples.com and to be honest, I haven’t really done much photography that I would consider good enough to include on a photography blog. However, I recently went on a road trip through Southern California and Nevada because Apple gave it’s employees the American Thanksgiving week off. During our trip I took a bunch of landscape photos which I will probably post later, but for now I want to talk about animals.
One of the stops on our Road Trip was to the San Diego Zoo and I lugged my 5D with battery Grip and 70-200mm lens all day to get some interesting shots of animals. I have always loved shooting animals and so this gave me an opportunity to get unnaturally close up. I would have loved to see them in the wild and in their own habitat rather than in enclosures, but I will take what I can get for now.
I got a lot of photos I was happy with and they are available here: http://flickr.com/gp/mseliske/r9Cgeo/ but found below are some of my favorites.
