It’s been almost two years since i even considered doing a blog post and yet I log into my wordpress to find a post in my Drafts.  I am going to try and get back into the photography side of my life and will be starting a chronicle of San Francisco through Photos, attempting to capture the essence of each of the individual neighborhoods.  It works out that this post was sitting here because it fits in well with the theme.  I will write a better introductory post along with my first posting about Golden Gate park.

My dad and I did a tour of Alcatraz just after we arrived in California and I took a few pictures.  I was blown away by how much decay was present in the buildings as well as the conditions that these men used to have to deal with.  During our visit there was a photo exhibit on display and the images of the prison in operation were very powerful.  I will let my photos speak for themselves regarding the current status of the prison.
