I was on campus doing a video project in the morning and had just met up with my lab partner to work on a lab in the afternoon when we walked past a berry bush, which had a bunch of Blue Jays flying around it.  At first thought I figured that by the time I got my camera out of my bag and threw on the 70-200mm,  that they would be gone but decided to give it a try due to the proximity of the birds and my ability to reach them with my 7-200mm.  To my surprise I got my camera out of my bag and ready to go and the Blue Jays were still around.  I spent the next 5-10 minutes walking around the bush trying to get as many good shots as I could.  I ended up taking about 40 images and was left with these 6 keepers.  I don’t do wildlife very often due to the patience and time it requires but when the animals make it that easy, I am very easy to give it a try.  I didn’t want to leave my lab partner waiting too long or I probably would have spent a lot more time with that bush.
