Tonight I had the pleasure of attending an event where 16 different speakers give talks about 16 totally different things. They have 20 slides which automatically advance every 15 seconds whether they like it or not for a total of 5 minutes. It’s called Ignite Waterloo and it is the second event organized for the Waterloo area. This particular group of speakers contained one of my friends who was giving a talk on roundabouts. There were many photographers in attendance so I didn’t bother trying to cover the event but I did need to get at least one photo to accompany my article about the event in the Iron Warrior (iwarrior.uwaterloo.ca). It was a great time and I have already started to brainstorm ideas for a talk that I would like to give. I am thinking “social networks: mixing business with pleasure” as I am a participating member in a large variety of social networks. Check out their website at http://www.ignitewaterloo.ca/ or follow them on twitter at @ignitewaterloo.
